Reaching the lost at any cost!
The Young-at-Heart Senior Adult Group was established in 1980 by Rev. Bill Rigsby.  It was established to be an
integral part of
Pope Drive.  We not only fellowship with one another on a regular monthly basis but also have many
outreaches to our shut-ins and the community throughout the year.  Our ministry consist of:
  • Monthly birthday parties at Ellenburg Nursing Home for an entire ward at a time
  • Provide bags of toiletries to the veterans at Campbell Nursing Home
  • Take meals to shut-ins prior to Thanksgiving
  • Fall day trip to get apples, which we later take to our shut-ins
  • Regular visitation to our shut-ins
  • Monthly meetings that includes various speakers and luncheons
  • Annual road trip to just get away and enjoy each other's company while taking in shows and attractions

This group also sponsors a local Senior Adult Conference to our area each spring, which was started by our own pastor,
Mack Tester.
We also attend Senior Adult Conferences at various times in various locations, locally and at coastal towns.
Our desire is clearly not to sit back during our retirement years but to continue to grow spiritually and to minister to those
within our local body and area who are unable to attend church services due to their failing health.
